Warragul hosted Drouin at Western Park in front of a big crowd on Sunday.

The Gulls got the win in A grade, coming from a half-time deficit to remain undefeated.

A grade: Warragul 50 defeated Drouin 47

This game was always going to be tough against the Hawks.

After a slow start, some great coaching by Renee Nobelius in the third, saw the Gulls come back from a seven-goal deficit to be down by one at three-quarter time.

Alex Cole, celebrating her 250th game, was getting on Stacie Gardiner’s nerves and creating turnovers all over the court.

Jaime Rollinson and Sienna Green worked hard and fed well to Becky Dixon and Emma Ryde.

It was another phenomenal game by Ryde, scoring 43 of Warragul’s 50 goals.

Awards: Alex Cole, Renee Nobelius and Sienna Green.

B grade: Warragul 45 lost to Drouin 61

The Gulls put up a good fight throughout the game, but the Hawks were commendable and too good in the end.

The defensive end worked extra hard trying to shut down Drouin’s strong attacking line.

Standouts throughout the game include Mackenzi Minichiello in the defensive end, Ashlyn Gallasch all down the count and Naomi Allardyce in the attacking end.

Congratulations to Tia Jenkins on playing 100 club games.

Awards: Mackenzi Minichiello, Naomi Allardyce and Ashlyn Gallasch.

C grade: Warragul 31 lost to Drouin 56

The Gulls started well, trailing Drouin by one goal at quarter time.

Some great defensive pressure by Cara Gavin, Stephanie Paul and Charli Hendrikse created opportunity for Sophie Fennell and Bella Hefford to convert.

Hefford was on fire, with some great midcourt passages of play by Mia Lieshout and Ellie Beechey keeping the Gulls in the game.

Drouin did prove to be too strong in the end, however, there were lots of positives the Gulls could take out of the game.

Awards: Bella Hefford, Stephanie Paul and Sophie Fennell.

17 and under: Warragul 18 lost to Drouin 57

In front of a big crowd, the Gulls were defeated by a very good Drouin side. Even though the Gulls were defeated, each week they learn and get stronger as a team.

Drouin played very well all game. However, after half-time, the Gulls started with a bit more confidence and started to believe within themselves and as a team.

Awards: Ava Brock, Stella Kittelty and Charlotte Long.

15 and under: Warragul 33 lost to Drouin 44

The Gulls made a strong start against Drouin, showing how well they are coming together as a team.

They were able to keep the attacking pressure up throughout the game but, unfortunately, not able to come away with a win.

Congratulations to Olivia Barr and Audrey Simpson who both played their 50th game for the club. It is exciting to see their continuing development for the Gulls.

Awards: Addison Heenan for her great work in goals, Elizabeth Kuol and Isabelle Nash.

13 and under: Warragul 8 lost to Drouin 35

The final score did not reflect how well the girls played.

Alyssa Sheehan and Josie Malady were very impressive in defence, and Bella Senini had a fantastic game in the mid court. They all receiving an award.

Special mentions to Indi Kelton for never giving up and always playing with a smile, and Evelyn Blackwood for chasing every loose ball.

The club are very proud of these girls for their constant efforts and beautiful team work.
