NAME the feature and there is a high probablity this sprawling mansion has it.

From fireplaces and chandeliers to a luxury marble ensuite fit for royalty, the sevenbedroom house at 28 Maryland Ave even includes some quirky touches like a wallaquarium and an indoor aviary. Not to mention a five-car garage. Homeowner Bronwyn Stewart bought the mansion in 2011 and said it was impossible to name her favourite part about the house.

“There is so much to love about this place and the only way I can sum it up is that it is a really fun house to come home to,” she said.

“You get a really wonderful feeling stepping through the doors.

“It is really hard to say what my favourite thing about the property is because I love each space.

“The aviary in the kitchen is really unique and we often keep it open for the birds to come and go as they please but we find they are pretty content and rarely leave.”

The north-facing mansion embraces wide water views of the Nerang River on a 4007sq m block and has a tennis court, swimming pool and cabana.

The property also includes a 14m pontoon with a boat ramp and underground boatshed.

“The river frontage was the biggest drawcard for our family, we are always outside enjoying the views,” Mrs Stewart said.

“I’m up early to take photos of the birds from the jetty and in the evenings my daughters and I watch the sun set.

“I think I will miss the river, especially jetskiing to get coffee at the Isle of Capri.”

Mrs Stewart said while the home was packed with amazing features it was the space that blew her away.

“After my daughter’s wedding reception we had about a 100 guests at the house,” she said.

“You can tell this house was designed for big families.

“Once we had eight people living here and we could all still have our own peace and quiet.

“It has a very grand and sophisticated feel but at the same time it is very homely and was made to be lived in.

“The kids have had some of the most amazing parties during their school and university years.”
