A boutique tower has launched on the southern GC

A new apartment development hopes to capitalise on the growing demand within the southern Gold Coast area

POPULAR demand for the southern Gold Coast continues as a boutique $30 million tower launches to the market this week.

The Jefferson, at 60 Jefferson Lane at Palm Beach is being developed by Lacey Group.

The beachfront project will have 46 apartments across eight levels, with front door access to the ocean. Construction is expected to begin late this year and residents will be able to move in by 2019.

McGrath Estate Agents, Tony Holland and Brendan Andrews have been appointed to market the apartments with prices starting from $375,000.

Lacey Group director Adam Lacey said The Jefferson was one of very few apartment projects available on the southern Gold Coast and had been designed to maximise its location.

“The Jefferson will offer the chance for buyers to purchase a quality apartment at exceptional value on one of the Gold Coast’s most prestigious streets,” he said.

Mr Lacey compared the popularity of Palm Beach to the likes of Hedges Ave. “Jefferson Lane is the southern Gold Coast’s Hedges Avenue. “Palm Beach is in hot demand and we have already been fielding strong interest ahead of the launch.

“The Jefferson will border Jefferson Lane and Gold Coast Highway, on a prime parcel of land just steps from the beach between Fourth Avenue and Palm Beach Avenue.”

The project will include one, two and three bedroom apartments. It will also have a spa, barbecue area and lounge area.

“The Jefferson has been designed by award-winning architects, BDA, to take advantage of its premier location,” Mr Lacey said.

”The apartments have a modern design that integrates living spaces with the outdoor environment allowing residents to fully embrace the Palm Beach lifestyle.”

Mr Lacey said the apartment market on the Gold Coast’s southern beaches was the most under-supplied on the Gold Coast and that The Jefferson would help fill the void for new beachside apartments in the region.

“We are expecting The Jefferson will be met by pent-up demand from those who have been waiting for an opportunity,” Mr Lacey said.

“Palm Beach has been tipped as an area primed for growth and we expect these residences will be snapped up quickly.

The apartments will include contemporary finishes and wide balconies, which have been designed to maximise ocean and parkland views.
