A stunning water view is the supreme ruler

Designed to take full advantage of its spectacular outlook in the gated Sovereign Islands community, this home has everything you could dream of

IT COMES fully-equipped with an automated theatre room and armchairs to match, but there is something even more dramatic to sit back and watch at this mega home – the views.

The sprawling mansion at 14 Westminster Court, Sovereign Islands, was designed to take advantage of the spectacular outlook, according to homeowner Mark Sutcliffe. He and his family moved to the Soveriegn Islands in 2007 and this home was their latest project.

“It was designed by Jared Poole,” Mr Sutcliffe said. “I've always been a big fan of his work and have seen some of his designs on the Island so when my wife and I found this block, we got him to help bring our ideas to life.”

Mr Sutcliffe said the dream was to open the front door and see the view throughout the house and build a wine cellar as an art piece.

“I spent a lot on engineering to perfect the clean lines and big open spaces with the soaring ceilings,” he said. The wine cellar is a standout feature and the biggest talking point.

“When we have guests or friends over, they comment on two things – the view and the wine cellar, in that order,” he said.

“I run a trucking business in Brisbane and the traffic is taking its toll so I have decided to move to Brisbane with the family.”

One of the mega features of the home is a commercial-grade sliding door which opens to reveal an entertaining area and provides seamless open plan living space.

The 2014-built home is on a 752sq m block and has five ensuite bedrooms.
