THE Fox family had always admired their friend’s sprawling Ashmore home but never imagined living in it.

A year ago, Gold Coasters Julie and Mark Fox were in need of more space for their family of six.

“Mark came home one afternoon and said he found something that would be perfect for our family,” Mrs Fox said. “It was our friend’s house.”

The family bought the home 12 months ago and put their own touches on it.

“Our friend was downsizing and we needed more space, so it was good for both of us,” Mrs Fox said.

Behind secure gates, the property has 2114sq m of landscaped lawns which surrounds the contemporary residence. The property is also home to a two-bedroom self-contained guest flat. The main home features stacker doors and an open-plan living area.

“We transformed the home office into another bedroom,” Mrs Fox said.

“My favourite part of the home is the lounge room, the outlook to the Hinterland is really special and it fills that room.”

The home is elevated to capture breezes and is located in a leafy area.

“There is so much space but we can all still be together,” the mother-of-four said.

“When Mark is not working he loves to paint and create and this home has been perfect for that.”

The five-bedroom home comes with an art studio wing, media room and is 15 minutes to the beach.
