Record peak at Banora
An ambitious design has resulted in stunning views for this home just over the border at Banora Point, with a sale price of more than $2.6 million
ONE of Banora Point’s ritziest homes has sold for just over $2.6 million – the highest sale for a house in the suburb.
The property at 14-16 Old Ferry Rd had been on the market for four years before Ray White Prestige agents Robert Graham and Jordan Thams took over the marketing in June.
Mr Graham declined to confirm the sale price but described the house as one of the best homes in Banora Point. “The home was a family residence and was designed around entertaining and large scale living,” he said.
Designed by Noosa-based designer Paul Clout, guests are greeted by a grand entry over moat-style access and imposing, glass front door.
John and Judy Coleman built the home in 2010 after buying the 2505sq m property in 2008. Inside, the two-level home captures 180 degree views of Fingal and Byron Bay through its bi-fold doors and walls of glass.
An open-plan living area includes a contemporary monochrome kitchen and lounge room with a stylish, floating gas fireplace. The sprawling home features four bedrooms in its design along with a homecinema, games room, steam room and a guest retreat.
Outside, sandstone steps lead down to a manicured garden surrounding the swimming pool, stone water feature and timber pergola.
In industry news, several LJ Hooker agencies on the Gold Coast have had a successful run at the 2017 Real Estate Business Awards. Shane Colquhoun of LJ Hooker Nerang was crowned regional principal of the year at an awards ceremony earlier this month.
LJ Hooker Nerang was also a finalist in the sales office of the year category. Other finalists included Sam Mansy of LJ Hooker Surfers Paradise and Emily-Jane Megraw of LJ Hooker Nerang.
