Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin - Property
Sales in spring bloom
The selling season is underway as buyers bid to find the property that bests suits them with the intention of settling before Christmas
THE spring selling season has well and truly bloomed with dozens of new listings this week.
REIQ Gold Coast Zone chair John Newlands predicted the Gold Coast’s property market to run hot throughout spring and summer.
“Buyers are confident with the market so they are taking every opportunity to pick up properties,” Mr Newlands said.
Ray White Mermaid Beach agents John and Nicole Mayer just listed a newly built waterfront residence on Isle of Capri.
“The owners worked really hard to get this ready for spring,” Mr Mayer said.
“They were well aware about spring being a great time to sell — kids’ sports has finished, the end of the year is approaching and people tend to start looking for properties. We see buyers spend four to six weeks looking before finding something and settling before Christmas.”
The five-bedroom house at 23 The Promenade, Surfers Paradise features openplan living areas, alfresco barbecue kitchen and a waterfront pool.
In industry news, several Gold Coast agents were recognised at the Ray White Queensland annual awards.
Sam Guo of Ray White Broadbeach was awarded the number one sales performer for Ray White Queensland. He was also named for his excellence in auction (Gold Coast).
Ray White Surfers Paradise Group was awarded the number one office in Queensland and also won the administration team of the year award. Ray White Surfers Paradise Group’s Andrew and Greg Bell were named the ‘profile of courage’ for their leadership while Jared Hodge of the Ray White GC South Network was awarded ‘profile of courage’ for revolution and innovation.
“As it has always been, our people are our product,” Ray White Queensland chief executive officer Tony Warland said.
