Owned by New Zealand cou­ple Nick Gor­don and his wife An­drea, the sky-home has been their home-away-from-home for the past decade.

“The sun­shine brought us to the Gold Coast and since buy­ing here, the city has been our top travel des­ti­na­tion for 10 won­der­ful years,” Mr Gor­don said. “Trav­el­ling here so much is prob­a­bly the rea­son why our daugh­ter moved to Queens­land.”

On the 29th floor of the Ar­tique build­ing, the home of­fers ab­so­lute style.

The cou­ple, who bought the 268sq m prop­erty off the plan, said they cus­tomised the de­sign and added some of their favourite fin­ishes and fixtures.

“We gave it our per­sonal touch so it would suit our fam­ily and life­style,” the fa­ther-ofthree said.

Some of the stylish changes in­clude a ver­sa­tile lay­out and a splash of mar­ble in the bath­room.

“It was just the lit­tle things like adding in a big­ger shower and hav­ing the me­dia room closer to the kitchen.”

Mr Gor­don, a tech­nol­ogy en­tre­pre­neur, said his favourite fea­ture was the soar­ing ceil­ings. “We hunted for a big­ger place for a while but there was noth­ing quite like this place,” he said. “The ceil­ings are very high, which is what I think makes it stand out from ev­ery apart­ment we’ve been in.
