Acreage bliss with a tropical twist

This property offers a modern, American-influenced luxury house and acreage spaces, all within a short walk of the Robina Town Centre

IT MAY feel like it's a world away but this acreage property is only a short walk to Robina Town Centre.

That was the idea according to homeowners Jodi and Kris Booth, who bought the block 13 years ago.

“We had moved from Sydney to Mermaid Waters when my husband got an itch for acreage living,” Mrs Booth said. “But I wanted to stay in suburbia.” The couple said they found the perfect in-between at Mudgeeraba’s Jabiru Estate.

“From the moment you drive in you feel like you’re in the countryside. It was a winwin situation for both of us,” the mother-oftwo said. “Our guests who have been living on the Gold Coast for years always mention how private the estate is.”

The family built the six-bedroom house with American architecture in mind.

Mrs Booth said the house was designed for entertaining, with enough space to raise her two sons.

“The gardens are my favourite part and we did a lot of landscaping to get the property to feel like a slice of tropical paradise instead of a farm, ” she said.

Sandstone and timber flooring create stylish spaces while a fireplace adds a touch of luxury.
