The Gold Coast property market has been moving briskly with big sales, unlikely property pairings and new listings creating plenty of interest

A STUNNING riverfront mansion in Surfers Paradise has been snapped up before its auction for $4.15 million.

The two-storey home at 53 The Corso, Isle of Capri has lots of “wow factor” with its high-end finishes and jaw-dropping views.

Vendors Peter and Gina Coundouris put their home on the market last month – they decided to downsize after eight years at the home.

Ray White Broadbeach-Mermaid Waters agents Sam Guo and Julie Kuo handled the sale.

“An interstate buyer bought it, they loved the location, the views and the address as it’s a tightly held street,” Mr Guo said.

“Quality homes in good streets are going quickly at the moment. There is high demand and there’s still not enough supply.”

In other news, leading Gold Coast restaurateur Simon Gloftis, owner of Hellenika and former nightclub king Billy Cross have joined forces to build a stylish apartment block.

The six three-bedroom residences at 8-6/18 Lenneberg St, Southport, are fresh to the market this week with a price tag from $689,000.

“Billy is a budgeting mastermind while I consider myself better at the design aspect,” Mr Gloftis said. He described Southport as bursting with potential. “It’s connected to The Southport School, Ferry Rd and the Broadwater so you’ve all these fantastic points around the property.”

Matt Gates from Ray White Sanctuary Cove and Clare Brettel from Ray White Southport are marketing the apartments.

And finally, one of the “cheapest homes” in the luxury Surfers Paradise locale of Paradise Waters has hit the market at $1.75 million.

The original single-level waterfront residence at 14 Midshipman Court is in one of the most sought-after residential precincts on the Gold Coast.

It is being marketed by Robert Graham, of Ray White Surfers Paradise
