Buyers can take in some stunning new home designs at Helensvale’s community The Surrounds

THE Gold Coast’s largest display village is complete at Villawood Properties’ $500 million Helensvale community, The Surrounds, with the doors to 31 new homes now open.

The launch of the display village coincides with the completion of Stage 2 of the light rail, which will service the Helensvale station from early 2018.

Villawood Properties executive director Tony Johnson said the light rail connection to Helensvale has been a drawcard for purchasers at The Surrounds and would be a catalyst for the gentrification of Helensvale.

“The $420 million stage two light rail connection to Helensvale is the first great step in unlocking the full potential of The Surrounds, which is being developed on such a unique site,” he said.

“The Helensvale transit centre, located at the entrance to The Surrounds, is now the only transport hub in the state that allows commuters access to three major forms of public transport – heavy rail, light rail and buses.

“The light rail connection to Helensvale is not only vital to the Commonwealth Games transport task, but was an investment in the Gold Coast’s future, and to the transformation of the suburb of Helensvale.”

The transport hub is an 800m walk from the display village. The display village features designs from 10 leading builders including Aston Milan, GJ Gardner, McCarthy Homes, McDonald Jones, Metricon, Plantation Homes, Porter Davis, Simonds Homes and Stylemaster.

“Having so many displays from a range of leading builders within one location gives prospective buyers a chance to explore their options and easily compare designs to find the right fit for them,” Mr Johnson said.

The Surrounds sales and information centre is on Country Club Drive, Helensvale, and is open every day.
