APARTMENTS at The Star Gold Coast are proving popular with $185 million in sales in 14 weeks.

The Star Residences Gold Coast – part of The Star Gold Coast’s resort at Broadbeach – will feature 423 apartments, which will occupy the top 33 levels of the $400 million, 53-storey tower, which will also incorporate 300 hotel rooms over 13 levels, new bars and restaurants, resort facilities, carparking and shops.

The project is being developed by Destination Gold Coast Consortium.

The Star Entertainment group managing director Queensland Geoff Hogg said buyers were looking at Broadbeach’s past, present and future when making the decision to buy.

“The response from owner-occupiers who have purchased in the project is that they are attracted to the very enviable lifestyle and value on offer, while investors have their eye on all of the growth that is yet to come,” he said.

Urbis research shows more than 6.48 million visitors came through Gold Coast Airport in the year to June 2017, and there are currently 32 projects in the pipeline centred around boosting the city’s tourism and retail.

One bedroom apartments are priced from $467,500. Two bedroom apartments are priced from $689,500.

Pending pre-sales, the project is due to be completed in 2021.
