Gilt and pizzazz all part of condo charm

ORIGINAL Versace elegance is evident in the handcrafted marble mosaic floors, two opulent ensuite bathrooms and ornate ceilings with gilt detailing.

Condo 34 at the Palazzo Versace has also had a revamp – a new four-person lift silently shuttles residents between the two sprawling levels, and there’s the addition of new designer furniture, crystal chandeliers, drapes, shutters and smart TVs.

The views, however, remain wonderfully unchanged, offering a northerly vista from both levels of the Versace’s pool and gardens. The expanse takes in the Broadwater and nearby Sea World.

For boating enthusiasts, the condo comes with a 15m marina berth in the hotel’s private 90-berth marina.

Inside the property, soaring ceilings are accessorised with ornate fittings while pillars add a regal flair to the bones of the design.

Geometric, decorative flooring in the two kingsize bedrooms complements the sleek mirrored ensuites and extravagant gold and cream decor throughout the condo.

As well as the bigger ostentatious European influences, smaller touches of finesses can be found in the Euro-equipped kitchen, with appliances including a new coffee pod machine.

A roof terrace with timber-look floor tiles and automated weather screens top off the hi-tech features.

The Palazzo Versace is the world’s first fully fashion-branded hotel, built by Milan fashion house president Santo Versace in 2000.

While condo 34 has been listed by a local business couple, other residences in the hotel have belonged to colourful owners including former mining magnate Clive Palmer and controversial businessman Geoffrey Edelsten.

Residents have access to a veritable playground of luxury starting from the resort’s pebble mosaic driveway (the second largest in the world), through to a 65m lagoon and the hotel’s dining, recreational and retail facilities.
