Canopy has niche covered

Savvy buyers haven’t wasted any time snapping up these apartments in a boutique block

- WORDS ALEISHA DAWSON

CANOPY is helping Palm Beach live up to its proud mantle as the biggest property hot spot in the city.

Half of the 49 apartments have already been secured by savvy buyers since the launch last weekend.

It is DG Projects’ first foray into the midrise market on the Gold Coast.

Based in Queensland for the past decade, DG Projects have recognised an opportunity to expand into specialised boutique property development.

The eight-level building with a selection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments as well as four two-storey loft apartments has been design by local architects BDA Architecture with the owner-occupier in mind. Their size and layout suit indooroutdoor living and embrace Canopy’s beachside location with views to Burleigh Hill and south to Currumbin.

Hutchinson Builders have been appointed to build the project and KM Sales and Marketing duo, Jayde Pezet and Todd Matheson are selling the apartments.

“We love Palm Beach as a location, its village atmosphere, proximity to Burleigh as well as easy access to the airport and southern Gold Coast,” Mr Pezet said. “Canopy offers buyers bigger than average apartments in a blue-chip location at a terrific price.”

He said the apartments were attracting young couples looking to be part of the Palm Beach lifestyle as well as older downsizers.

Apartments range in size from 73sq m to 151sq m.

Prices start from $360,000 for a onebedroom, from $515,000 for a two-bedroom and from $725,000 for a three-bedroom.

The lofts start at $650,000.
