Mega sale on island
A luxury Sovereign Islands mansion has changed hands for $5.4 million to a Gold Coast family
A PALATIAL Paradise Point mansion with more levels than bedrooms has sold for $5.4 million.
The vendors, long-term Sovereign Islands residents Dennis and Nina Uhrhane, bought the block on Knightsbridge Parade East in 2011 to build their five-storey dream home.
The pair enlisted Davis Carlson with the design, eager to capitalise on the views out to South Stradbroke Island.
A lift, 10-car garage, seven bathrooms, library, media room and sauna are among the four-bedroom home’s luxury features.
Construction took 12 months, with more than $500,000 spent on the electronics.
There is 42m of water frontage with an infinity-edge heated pool which even has an automatic top-up water system.
Edin Kara of Ray White Sovereign Islands was behind the mega sale — the highest on the exclusive islands this year.
The house had been on the market with other agents since November, 2016.
At one point, it was marketed with the neighbouring vacant block, also owned by the Uhrhane couple, with an asking price of $12 million.
Mr Kara, who took over the marketing last month said the buyers were from the Gold Coast.
“I really believe this was good value for money,” he said. “It took a while to negotiate but the buyers eventually came up to $5.4 million. This will be their main residence — they loved the quality of the house and the Broadwater views.”
