BUYERS who snap up an apartment in North Kirra’s new boutique beachfront development Southbreak will get a chance to put their own mark on it.

Developer Lacey Group has partnered with interior designer Urban Edge to offer buyers the chance to customise their apartment.

It includes developing a concept as well as customising colour schemes, fittings and finishes.

Christina and Damian Winterburn (pictured with their son Hayden) bought one of the two-storey penthouses in the six-storey building.

They said while Southbreak was ideally located and beautifully designed it was the chance to create their dream interior that ultimately got their interest.

“When we were looking for an apartment, my husband wanted proximity to the beach and local amenity while for me it was about the views and interiors,” she said.

They had been looking for a holiday apartment for two years when they found Southbreak. “It took us a long time to find the one but when we discovered Southbreak, we instantly fell in love with it as it ticked all the boxes. The complimentary interior designer was a real bonus and gave me the opportunity to create something that was uniquely ours for our family under the expert guidance of Urban Edge.”

Stokes Wheeler has been appointed to build the Golden Four Drive project, which will have 20 two and three-bedroom units including two double-storey penthouses.

It will also have a rooftop entertainment deck with raised pool, barbecue and cinema overlooking the ocean and Surfers Paradise skyline.

Lacey Group director Adam Lacey said buyers would only be able to make changes to their finishes while early works were underway, which was up until about March next year.

“Southbreak has been designed to complement its coastal location and views, featuring bright and breezy apartments with a sophisticated beach-inspired interior scheme,” he said.

“However, we understand some buyers like to add their personal touch and we are inviting them to do this with the help of professionals at no additional cost.”

He said buyers interested in the development could see a display at the sales centre at 85 Golden Four Drive. Construction is expected to start in January. Remaining apartments start from $589,000 for two bedrooms and $995,000 for three bedrooms.
