Redefining apartment living
Forget the penthouse. There are equally luxurious apartments on the lower levels of this tower earmarked for Northcliffe Terrace
ONE Australian developer is set to turn how we think about boutique apartment living on its head when it builds its $370 signature project Royale Gold Coast.
Traditionally a tower’s upper levels are reserved for the most prestigious apartments, but Devine Living is also placing a collection of eight premium offerings over levels two to five of its Royale tower, for those who prefer absolute beachfront living.
Planned for a prime site on Northcliffe Terrace in Surfers Paradise, the limited number of premium three and four-bedroom apartments in Royale will have the same size and level of luxury as the penthouses, but will capitalise on unobstructed beach views.
Priced from $4.9 million, the premium lower-level residences are, according to Devine Living chief executive David Devine, unlike anything available in the Gold Coast, and they could have the potential to become the norm.
Mr Devine said years of experience in residential property development, and his own preferences, were behind the move away from the traditional line of thought.
“I have come to understand the value of premium penthouse-size apartments being on the lower floors when living directly on the beach,” Mr Devine said.
“While it is nice to enjoy the wide open ocean views and tranquillity of a sky home or penthouse, there are many people who prefer living on the lower floors to enjoy views of the beach, but still want to live in a premium, subpenthouse style apartment.
“We worked with DKO Architecture to create a premium apartment building with a collection of private residences that encapsulate the exclusivity and prestige of living right on Northcliffe beachfront.” The apartments taking in beach views range from 335-350sq m, and will feature gourmet kitchens and butler’s pantries, multi-purpose rooms, master bedrooms with expansive walk-in robes, ensuited bedrooms, powder rooms for guests and wide open-plan living areas that extend to large indoor-outdoor, all-weather entertaining spaces known as loggias. In total, 104 two, three and four-bedroom private residences, sky homes and traditional penthouse apartments will make up Royale Gold Coast. Five-star lifestyle amenities will be located on the ground and first levels and include a beach club with two pools, cabanas and day lounges looking out over the beach; outdoor barbecues and a dining terrace; a Royale Wellness Centre featuring a gym, spa, | sauna, steam room, yoga terrace; a beachside café, plus a residents’ club with an executive lounge.
Total Property Group, which is managing the sales of Royale Gold Coast’s private
residences, report strong expressions of interest since the project was announced in June.
“Royale Gold Coast presents a rare opportunity for prestige property buyers to own a premium apartment directly on the beach in one of the Gold Coast’s most exclusive areas,” managing director Adrian Parsons said.
He said the development was meeting the demand from the prestige property market for absolute beachfront living, which he expected to continue as high-net-worth buyers look for five-star experiences.
