Esprit project reaches for the sky

We reveal the first glimpses of the wellness centre set to top S&S Projects’ Esprit tower in Coolangatta, which is aiming to set a new gold standard in resident-only facilities

battle of the luxury developments continues with S&S Projects upping the ante this week after it revealed pictures of its elite-athletestandard wellness centre set to top its Esprit building in Coolangatta.

In what the developer is touting as ‘a first for the Gold Coast’ and ‘unlike anything seen before in high-end design’, the facility will be located 11 storeys up in the $130 million tower in Rainbow Bay Village.

The development is set to deliver 97 apartments – a mix of 72 two-bedroom and 25 three-bedroom apartments – across two interconnected buildings covering a 2424sq m site with dual frontages on Boundary and Ward streets. The wellness centre, to be called Club Esprit and designed by Cottee Parker Architects, will be the centrepiece. S&S Director Paul Gedoun said the facility would re-shape and revolutionalise the way residents viewed beachside apartment facilities. “We wanted to create a recreational space that went beyond functionality, we wanted an oasis catered to creating a sense of community among likeTHE minded residents,” Mr Gedoun said.

“There is nothing in the same league of Club Esprit across the entire Gold Coast.”

Spread over 1100sq m, Club Esprit will focus on self-care and restoration, with amenities aimed at helping to cultivate a daily routine for residents.

Fitness enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of exercise and recovery facilities ranging from a gym and yoga lawn to a remedial treatment room, ice bath, and infrared sauna and steam rooms.

“Rainbow Bay’s natural amenity inspires an active lifestyle, whether it’s surfing the world-class point breaks or traversing the beachside recreation paths, and so we wanted our residences to provide an outlet to complement this,” Mr Gedoun said.

There is also a 25m lap pool and poolside cabanas from where residents can take in views of Snapper Rocks, the city skyline and hinterland.

For those wishing to spend less energy exercising and more energy socialising, there is a private dining room, terraces, barbecue areas and an outdoor cinema.

Esprit is the third project in the southern beaches suburb by Brisbane-based S&S Projects, with construction under way on its sold-out Flow Residences and Awaken developments.

While prices for the Esprit apartments are yet to be set, the median price in Awaken was $4.2 million, while the penthouse sold for a southern beaches record of $8.15 million.
