Sphere Gardens finale
The final stages of Avid Property Group’s Southport community are in full swing, with hot competition expected for the last terrace homes
THE final stage of Avid Property Group’s Sphere Garden Terraces in Southport is now selling after its 74 terrace homes sold out ahead of construction completion.
Avid expects competition for the final homes to be hot as buyers face limited options for new homes close to the Gold Coast’s largest employers – Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University.
Avid general manager Bruce Harper said the company was already experiencing strong demand for its final 24 garden terrace homes.
“Neighbouring the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, the fast-tracking of the community has come as no surprise, despite launching to market less than a year ago,” Mr Harper said.
“We’re noticing a surge in demand for three-bedroom homes, predominantly from a mix of young professionals and families wanting to get into one of the Gold Coast’s most convenient and central lifestyle locations,” he said.
He said buyers liked the project because the town houses had outdoor spaces and a similar design to a free-standing home.
There has been a rise in owner-occupier take up in the development, with homeowners drawn by its convenience, proximity and lifestyle offering.
Sphere Garden terrace owner Tjun Gan and his wife Jinq Loke, who works at the Gold Coast University Hospital, bought a home in September 2020, eager to get their foot on the property ladder close to the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge precinct.
“We couldn’t go past it. The hospital is really on our doorstep, the commute for my wife is just a short walk or quick bike ride away,” Mr Gan said. “Buying at Sphere was an easy decision for us.”
The Sphere Garden Terraces community incorporates 74 two-storey, three-bedroom homes, with resort-style facilities.
