La Mer is redefining luxury
THE anticipated 25-level Main Beach residential tower La Mer will re-enter the market with a refined design and the tick of approval from council. La Mer is set to be built at 3580 Main Beach Pde and offer 22 full-floor apartments with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and a multi- purpose room.
The development will take on a new boutique offering with 25 levels housing 22 apartments instead of the original proposal for 35 storeys with 30 apartments.
Appointed project marketer NPA projects director Andrew Erwin said the relaunch of La Mer would be limited following consultations with existing buyers who had the first opportunity to secure their piece of the development.
“With just 22 full-floor residences, La Mer presents an extremely boutique and exclusive opportunity for a fortunate few,” says Mr Erwin.
“New buyers will be impressed with the contemporary layout and the refined design which incorporates feedback received from the market during the project’s initial sales period. This has resulted in an even better project with apartments that are not only more luxurious and exclusive, but also have improved livability as well.”
Developed by local developers Polites Property Group and QNY Group, each apartment at La Mer enjoys expansive ocean views thanks to the building’s north-easterly aspect, and the convenience of direct walkway access to the sandy expanses of Main Beach.
Plus Architecture director Danny Juric, who worked collaboratively with council and the developers to create an improved design for the development, said: “The redesign of La Mer was an opportunity to make something that’s already beautiful even better and that is how we approached the design,” says Mr Juric.
“With fewer occupants, the project is now far more boutique and exclusive and the design and interiors of the project reflect this with a refinement to the floor plate that not only elevates the project but improves and enhances the livability of the apartments too.
“Buyers will be impressed with the attention to detail and refinement included in the creation of the interiors with organic sculptural elements used throughout including crafted bulk heads and soft curved expressions in the kitchen and other elements in the bathroom that resonate this interior design motif.”
Mr Juric says that while most of the redesign focuses on the luxury and level of comfort the offering provides, the floorplate has been reconfigured to create a unique south-western block to prevailing winds while offering protection on the balcony.
Knight Frank selling agent, James Elliott says it’s rare to find whole-floor luxurious boutique offerings with premium beachside positions such as La Mer. The onsite sales office is open on Saturday January 7.
