Tower connects with nature

-

The overwhelming desire to feel a sense of connection to nature has inspired the Gold Coast’s newest beachside development, Eternity. Bassar Construction Group has unveiled plans for a residents-only apartment project approved for a prime site in Broadbeach within a short stroll of the beach.

Plus Architecture has conceived a slender and sophisticated design inspired by the interwoven elements that provide strength in nature.

That same inspiration finds living form on the ground level where landscaping and perimeter planting creates an instant connection with the natural environment.

“Even though Broadbeach is an inner city suburb, you have this wonderful foreshore and the beach right there on the doorstep,” said Leo Sarris, who co-founded Bassar alongside Simon Bassil.

“We want people to feel that connection to nature from the moment they step inside the grounds, from the comfort of their living spaces, and from their balconies facing the ocean.”

Eternity will deliver 88 apartments over 35 levels including a full level of resident recreation with a pool, gym, yoga lawn, outdoor deck and barbecue, private dining room, and a business centre catering for remote workers.

Lower-level three-bedroom apartments range in size from 189 sqm to 214 sqm; 300m2 half-floor sky homes have four bedrooms plus a multipurpose room; and there are two 597m2 penthouse suites set over two levels plus a rooftop terrace.

View lines were the main attraction of the 14-18 Mary Ave site where the eye travels to the ocean over school grounds that can’t be built out. Northeast and southeast aspects wrap around to capture the beauty of the cityscape, Main River, and hinterland.

“For those who are downsizing from a house in a suburb away from the beach or coming from city locations, views of the ocean are number one,” said Mr Sarris.

“Having lived through the events of the past two years, the ability to sit outside, see the water, and walk to the beach or exercise along the foreshore are almost nonnegotiable.”

Sophisticated finishes in a classic coastal palette reflect laid-back luxury.

Wide engineered oak floorboards complement natural stone benchtops, brushed metal tapware, wool carpet, and timber veneer cabinetry.

The Eternity launch follows hot on the heels of last year’s sellout success on Bassar’s sister project, Infinity, which is now under construction on a nearby site in Broadbeach.

Apartments are priced from $1.75m and pre-launch sales through Kollosche New Projects suggest Eternity is ticking the right boxes with buyers.

Hutchinson Builders are due to complete work on Infinity in the second quarter of 2023 before moving on to start the building program at Eternity.
