THE school holidays will be a giggle and hoot at Dreamworld.

This week Tilly Flindall, 4, and her big brother Byron, 6, met their favourite characters from Play School, Bananas in Pyjamas and Giggle and Hoot, which will feature in the new ABC Kids World which opens today.

The bubbly siblings from NSW were given a sneak peek at the newly renovated area and said they couldn’t wait to return once it had opened.

“It has been really fun and I like seeing all the characters and going on the rides,” Byron said.

Mum Lydia said school holidays usually consisted of hanging out at the family’s farm in Yamba, riding horses and motorbikes, but a Gold Coast holiday was the perfect change of scenery for the two young explorers.

“Tilly absolutely loves dancing and as soon as we came in the front gates she heard the music and started jumping around,” she said.

“Her favourite song is the Katy Perry song Roar, so it was also great to see the tigers here and go on some of the rides with the kids.”

ABC Kids World will have rides, playgrounds and games, including the Giggle and Hoot Pirate Ship, Hop and Hoot ride and a play area inspired by Australia’s longest-running children’s television series, Play School.

Preschoolers can also enjoy making their way through the Bananas in Pyjamas Fun Maze and meeting B1 and B2.

The refocus comes after the park’s 10-year partnership with The Wiggles. The Big Red Car Ride, Tea Cup Ride, the Wiggle House and the boat ride are now incorporated into Kids World, with continued guest appearances by Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog and Captain Feathersword.
