MEET the Gold Coast loveseekers set to walk down the aisle with complete strangers in the third series of Nine’s controversial reality TV series Married at First Sight.

Primary schoolteacher Nicole, 28, fashion entrepreneur Michael, 32, and Sea FM radio announcer Bella Frizza, 30, will meet their mystery spouses for the first time when they wed.

Billed as an observational documentary series “which puts relationships under the microscope”, the divisive show returns to Australian TV scenes on August 29.

Notoriously candid presenter, writer and blogger Bella shared details of her rhinoplasty surgery with the world last year.

“For years I had flirted with the idea of getting my nose ‘fixed’ – a bump on the side and a little bit of a ‘long’ profile but all in all I am a very attractive girl so just wanted it done,’’ she wrote at the time.

“My first two weeks in get ting my nose done were absolute hell. I’m not going to sugarcoat anything – do I love my new nose? Yes. Would I do it all over again? Probably not.”

Here’s hoping she doesn’t feel the same way when she wakes up and realises she’s married a complete stranger!

Bella, Michael and Nicole are among eight contestants match-made into four married couples by the TV series’ relationship experts, psychologists John Aiken and Mel Schilling, and neuropsychotherapist Trisha Stratford.

The newly paired partners live as married couples for three months while the TV cameras follow them on their honeymoons, to meet the inlaws and as they set up home.

At least one of the bride’s fathers reportedly finds the harsh reality of what his daughter has done too much to handle in the double-episode series launch.

Another single reportedly loses the speech, the wedding ring and their composure.

While the show’s producers claim it’s designed to see if science can predict true love, critics have slammed it as a dangerous social experiment.

This year’s show will include the first-ever same-sex couple, who travel to New Zealand where same-sex marriages are legally recognised, to exchange vows.

Married at First Sight premieres on August 29 at 8.40pm on Nine.
