Mums cry foul over show room

ANGRY mothers have used social media to slam Gold Coast Show organisers over the event’s mother’s room.

One mum posted pictures of the “mother’s room” tent – which had no seating or tables – and called it “appalling.”

Another, Bridget, contacted the Bulletin about her frustration.

“Concrete floor, no change mats and no chairs,” she said.

“The one chair is borrowed from the first-aid tent next door for a woman needing to breastfeed like I did, sitting on the floor. Of gravel.

“Since this was a ‘mother’s room’ one would expect at least a change station ...”

Bridget sent the event organisers a message through Facebook about her concerns.

She received the following reply: “We are so sorry that you had this experience. The first-aid normally manages the mothers room and we were not made aware of this until a short time ago.”
