Songs for a New World, Nerang: A contempora­ry musical, weaving characters and history together. It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back. This moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices we make. Bloodbath, Dracula’s, Broadbeach:

The famed cabaret restaurant’s latest vampire vaudeville show features mischievou­s comedy, mid-air performanc­es, colourful costumes, sensuous burlesque, slick jazz, sizzling comedy and a punchy song list. Show for 15+ audiences. Stars Rudi Testa, Richard Macionis, David Kume, Aurelie Roque, Olesya Borisova, Ruby Clark and a live band. Dinner and show, tonight. Arrivals from 6.30pm.

High Country Legends, Australian Outback Spectacula­r, Oxenford: Dinner and show with a cast of largerthan-life characters, animal stars, big stunts, special effects and live music and a three-course meal. Plays tonight, doors open 6.15pm. Tickets from $79.99.

30th Gold Coast Internatio­nal Ceramic Art Award, Bundall: A diverse range of high-quality entries of contempora­ry ceramic art from around the world. Finalists includes artists from Australia and the US, UK, South Korea and New Zealand. On display at the Arts Centre Gold Coast.
