Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin

Finishing off with a splash

-

FORGET fancy or expensive school holiday activities for the last weekend of the state’s break and embrace what the Gold Coast is all about – jump or dive into the ocean or a pool.

Mums and dads can take a much-deserved break and laze in the sun while they supervise their kids as they tire themselves out, performing underwater handstands, swimming laps and trying to do the best somersault.

This weekend’s warm 25-26C weather makes it the ideal time to get wet and go wild.

Robina local Grace Pickering-Pentland, 6, has been making the most of her family pool these holidays.

There is nothing the youngster loves more than dressing up in her favourite pair of togs or strapping on her mermaid’s tail and jumping in the pool.

“I just love swimming,” she said.

“Especially with all my cousins and my brother.”
