YOU gotta let a bloke finish a job before you criticise. I’m sure they’ll sync the lights on Bundall Rd, once they finish installing them all. They can’t do it before. – Dave

Re lingerie boxing, don’t care what boxers wear as this neanderthal pastime is the prime instigator of violence in our communities and should be banned, full stop! – Struth

One step closer to mandatory tipping. I can’t wait to experience the price reductions. Peta

Re Bundall Rd lights. Bully reporter must’ve had tail wind!! I drive that route 7 days a week at 4am (south to north) it now takes 11 extra minutes. Red lights for no reason!! – Jacki

Can’t see the problem with reducing pay for Saturdays and Sundays. We are in a society that runs 7 days a week - weekends stopped happening many years ago - virtually everything opens on a Saturday and Sunday because people demanded it. – Jenny

Now that penalty rates have been cut for hospitality workers, does this mean no cover charges for weekends? After all, it was introduced to pay for the extra wages. I bet not. Customers should boycott any business that continues to collect cover charge. I will. – Steve

Why the hell do we need another Gold Coast political leech with their nose in the trough - no wonder there is never any money to do the real stuff here.

Sunday time and a half the unemployed will jump at a chance to work if nobody else is interested also great for tourism go the umpires that voted for this great idea. – Lawrie

Let’s call it what it is. An attempt by the richest to lower the wages of the poorest. No extra people will be employed. – Justin GC CST it would get stuck 1km out to sea before the Seaway. No captain will come near the place for obvious reasons.

100% correct GK, Thurs chatroom, Coast morning radio is very unfunny and boring and would be close to the worst in Australia. – Woodleigh

Huge thank you to Sarah, Pimpama Junction Shopping Centre early Thurs night, u saved me so much hassle and grief with your help. You’re an absolute legend! – John

What a toss US politics is, why is it constantly in our faces? Can we have a month off? At least one day? – Clarance

I wish I had a job with penalty rates harden up people Re Blowing the safety horn. As a boat skipper and long time local surfer out the Alley I can honestly say uneducated beginner surfers have no idea what they’re doing in regards to boats returning and common sense. When it’s time to follow the back of a wave in and you’re committed with no way of turning back people get in your way it’s very hard to move your vessel.

Thank you Jupiters/Star casino and John Farnham for such a great night for my 66th birthday. Was a surprise from my beautiful daughter Mel. Lots of memories. X

From today, I will not be paying to travel on GC public transport, as clearly, it is optional. – Maz
