Champ finds fuss daunting

NOT everything about being a world champion sits well with Tyler Wright. The Australian surfer admits additional media and sponsorship commitments have been a challenge.

But in terms of her competitive spirit, she has lost nothing from her all-conquering 2016.

“I’m very much used to flying under the radar and not being in the public eye,” Wright said.

She will warm up for her 2017 campaign with next week’s Australian Open of Surfing at Manly.
