Rides back in business
THE last of Dreamworld’s major thrill rides has reopened, four months after the tragedy that killed four people.
The Coomera theme park has subjected its rides to a series of stringent safety reviews.
This week, the last of the “Big 9” thrill rides, the Wipeout, reopened for the first time since the park closed in October following the tragedy.
The Thunder Rapids ride has been decommissioned but most other rides are operating.
The Hot Wheels Sidewinder is closed for routine maintenance and the Rocky Hollow Log Ride remains shut while crews drain the ponds used to provide water to it.
