Ready to rock at CuDeco

CUDECO’S Rocklands processing plant is back in action.

Rocklands was closed on Monday after it failed a safety audit by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines.

The copper miner said it had met with DNRM staff this week and, after a review of the site’s safety health and management system, it had been told operations could resume.

CuDeco said staff had reevaluated the hazards and risks, ensured appropriate controls were in place, and submitted plans for ongoing safety and risk management.

CuDeco said the plant was due to restart last night.
