SICK and tired of hearing people say garbage about Surfers Paradise. Born at Southport 53 years ago and raised in Surfers. It is so vibrant and alive with a brilliant beachfront esplanade. Joanne McLachlan’s suggestion there are places you wouldn’t walk alone is ridiculous. There isn’t a town in the world where you shouldn’t be wary when walking alone at certain times of day, but to say Surfers is like that all the time is outrageous. – TC

How many people know where Little Tallebudgera Creek is? It used to be seen in front of Jupiters casino, a lovely little tidal stream. Now it’s hidden under concrete with the massively oversized new casino bridges & highrise. RIP little creek. – Zz
