I assumed I was going to be teaching then got to my senior year and decided I didn’t really want to do that, so went into a medical technology course and ended up at a hospital in Mackay. Moya: I have memories of being aged around six or seven in the lounge room and my mother bringing work home and sitting at a microscope. Early on the seed was sown. After high school I started doing admin work at the laboratory and thought this is something I want to study. Sophia: I find it really interesting and have had such a strong influence from my mum and grandma. I watch them at the lab and really like biology.
