BELIEBER NOW A PAN FAN

- EMILY SELLECK

JUST when Archie Hill thought nothing could beat dancing on stage with Justin Bieber, the nine-year-old was cast in the world premiere of Peter Pan.

Archie said he was looking forward to appearing with Tim Maddren of Hi-5 and Aussie stage legend Todd McKenney in The Adventures of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell in Return to Pantoland.

“The audition went for nine hours. It was a really long day and when we left we still didn’t know if we got the part,” he said. “There were hundreds of kids there so it was really competitive. Then at the callback there were about 40 kids and they picked six of us.

“I’m playing a juvenile in Neverland so I’m like a lost boy except I mainly dance.”

Last month Archie was picked to dance on stage with Justin Bieber in Brisbane.

“It was a really good experience. I think it will definitely help me in this show,” he said.

“I’m excited to start rehearsals, they go for about two months then the show runs for four weeks.”

Peter Pan plays at The Arts Centre from June 23 to July 1 before it travels to Sydney and Melbourne.
