BURGER AND NACHOS IN ONE BITE
THE fully-loaded El Rambo is na-cho ordinary burger.
It is a mashup that has to be seen and tasted to be believed with the spice, crunch and cheese of nachos combined with a perfectly grilled beef burger.
The delectable dish is the brainchild of Gangster and Gatsby’s owner Sue Armstrong who was looking for a way to get rid of traditional nachos from the menu and strengthen their focus on burgers.
“The popularity of the burger has taken us by surprise,” she told the Bulletin.
“It is literally a mash up of a burger and nachos.
“Everything you have on a burger and in nachos is all rolled into one.”
The El Rambo contains bacon, salsa, beans and a beef patty followed by a layer of cheese and tortilla chips, topped with a blast of guacamole and sour cream, all of which is sandwiched between a lightly toasted hamburger bun.
But the best part about this supersized burger is that anything that might fall out can be scooped up with your side of fries.
