The consensus was that delays in being paid for services was a key frustration. Obvious solutions to cash flow are to include advance and phased payments and work hard at following up on invoicing. The need for investment in transport infrastructure also is obvious but I believe the business community needs to focus on the need for much better IT connectivity. ONE of Biggera Waters’ bestknown burger outlets – Burger Bro? – has moved to new premises.
The burger shop – connected to singer Stan Walker – shifted next-door from Harbourside Markets to Treasure Cove Super Centre three weeks ago.
Owner Nadine Steedman said the move was prompted by the desire for a more visible location for the outlet, which sells burgers with names such as Beached Az.
“Already we’re doing triple the business,” she said.
“We have great road exposure here.”
The new home, on the corner of Oxley Drive and Gold Coast Hwy, has played host in recent years to Big Chief Burgers and a charcoal chicken shop.
Burger Bro? has taken a three-year lease with a threeyear option on the shop, which has a larger alfresco dining area than the old premises.
