Communicating ways to succeed

-

is set up for another time. We’re not preparing kids to live in the 21st century. However, if I could change only one thing right now, it would have to be communication. We need to teach kids how to talk in public, hold a meeting, even sell. The digital world has robbed a lot of kids of the skills of person-to-person communication. It’s a skill that translates to any career, or business, as well as helping promote mental health. Mindset. This is the greatest city in the world, but that doesn’t mean we’re the centre of the universe. I’ve seen some of the biggest egos in the world here on the Gold Coast, and I do business in Hollywood, so that’s saying something. We need to adjust our mindset, do things differently, be bold, innovate and welcome change. The world is changing around us, and it’s imperative to change with it, or even before it if you can! HOMEBODII’S Ingrid Bonner had a big Mother’s Day.

While other mothers were being pampered, mum-of-two Ingrid was steaming clothes to be put straight on the racks at David Jones’ Pacific Fair store.

The store had sold out of four of Ingrid’s sleepwear lines on the Saturday and she had to go in to prepare more product.

“About 5.30pm on Saturday afternoon the floor manager said ‘we need some robes’,” she said.

“We rang all the girls and come 6am on Sunday morning we’re at the factory, labelling, barcoding and steaming 220 garments and then going into the store at 9am.”

Great to see such dedication.
