Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin

TUCK IN AFTER SHIP SHOPPING

-

With two boat shows on the menu this weekend, it’s the perfect way to whet your appetite for some fresh seafood.

Both the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Main Beach’s Marina Mirage Boat Show set sail this weekend, with entertainment ahoy for boating enthusiasts and foodies alike.

If a day out ship shopping has you feeling peckish, drop your anchor at Main Beach’s beacon of fine dining, Ristorante Fellini, for some of the freshest seafood on the Coast.

The Italian eatery has long supported local trawlers by operating according to one golden rule – fresh seafood is best.

The menu’s dishes are regularly reinvented by head chef Richard Burt to suit the latest catch of the day.

Chef Richard says he personally visits the local trawlers and fishermen to select the best catch on the Coast – captured just a few nautical miles away from the plates they are served on.

“I can see, touch and feel the produce to ensure it is of the highest quality before I make a purchase,” he says.

Ristorante Fellini owner Carlo Percuoco says using fresh local ingredients is integral to Fellini’s traditional philosophy.

“Here at Ristorante Fellini we are known for upholding the traditions of Italian cuisine, and a big part of that is having our chefs visit local suppliers to inspect and select fresh ingredients, it makes a huge difference to the quality and authenticity of the food we serve,” he says.
