back Daniel Froome would have had the job but he is out injured.

“That would have been good, a redhead on a redhead,” Wildschut said.

The tip is Ben Niland-Rowe will start but Wildschut said he has other options.

“We’ll wait and see but Ben will be one of several,” he said.

“We have three options to get the job first-up and they’ll all get a go at some stage.”

Does Wildschut have any advice for the trio?

“I’ll be telling them not to punch on with him,” the Panther boss joked about Hall’s renowned boxing ability.

The inclusion of Hall and out-of-favour Southport forward Matt Fowler are the only changes made by the Tigers, who expect a bumper crowd to watch Hall go around.

Wildschut said Labrador’s initiative has to be admired.

“I think it can only be good for the QAFL, to get bums on seats and create a bit of interest,” he said.

Past Broadbeach players will celebrate a 30-year reunion of the club’s first premiership side of 1987 when the Cats host Palm Beach-Currumbin at Ord Minnett Oval today.

The Cats have made eight changes including the inclusion of raw teenagers Ash Palmer and Nelson Sorrenson, both 17, for their senior debuts.

Also back for the Cats are Eddie Sansbury and Harrison Kerr for James Royes’s 50th game for the club.

PBC named forward Jarryd Douglas despite whispers that he has a hamstring strain.

Surfers Paradise are on the road today, playing Mt Gravatt at Dittmer Park in Brisbane. WESTERN Bulldogs are confident Travis Cloke will come to love football again as he receives professional help for a mental health problem.

Cloke is taking an indefinite break from playing football as he deals with the problem but the 30-year-old plans to continue training with teammates.

Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge yesterday said the club would “wrap our arms around” the struggling key forward and provide all the support it could. Beveridge said Cloke’s problem was not purely on-field football related and he had been as shocked as anyone upon hearing about it.

“I suppose it probably always comes as a bit of a shock, whether it’s an AFL footballer or a brother, a sister, a friend,” Beveridge said.

“This time it’s Travis and we need to make sure we really support him.”
