PIZZA OF ACTION AT WORKSHOP

- AMANDA ROBBEMOND

NEED an easier solution to dinner woes these school holidays? Ask the kids.

Chevron Renaissance Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar is holding free pizza workshops for little chefs as part of Surfers Paradise Kids Week, running from September 23-29.

Halle-Rose Hammond got a first-hand taste this week. “Halle loves pizza, it’s her and her dad’s escape when I’m not at home cooking,” said her mum, Carla.

Chevron Renaissance marketing manager Sarah Tate said children would create their masterpieces in a small area outside the store and bring their pizza into Crust to cook.

“Parents can grab a coffee while the kids are making the pizza,” she said.

The workshop is not the only fun thing kids can take part in, with a number of shows and workshops available across the six-day event.

There will also be rock climbing, face painting, zorb balls, jumping castles, dance parties and displays throughout Cavill Mall.

The free pizza workshop runs from 11am to 3pm.
