VERDICT

The Liberty is still a first-rate car, but the Camry is the smartest choice for a family and it’s much cheaper than the Subaru. The Toyota ticks all the boxes for safety, economy and comfort. There should be plenty of room for child seats, it has a boot bigger than a Holden Commodore and the value has never been better.
