ABLETT FAMILY TRAGEDY
THE family of AFL star Gary Ablett is in mourning after the sudden death of the footballer’s oldest sister.
Details surrounding Natasha Ablett’s death were not known but it’s understood the 35-year-old died alone at home. There were no suspicious circumstances.
Ms Ablett had a long history of mental health issues and was a driving factor in her brother’s desperate bid to return home. Sister Alisha Ablett expressed her grief in an online post last night. “Natasha – you were the strongest women Iv (sic) ever known and an absolute heart of gold!’’
Ms Ablett had been seeking regular treatment for schizophrenia.
Ablett Jnr had not commented publicly on his sister’s death last night but earlier this week, admitted returning to Geelong from the Gold Coast was a priority.
