TASTY OPTIONS LOOK GENUINELY RAW-SOME

-

If you like it raw, this is your weekend to roar.

The Raw Challenge 8km muddy obstacle course is on at Numinbah Valley today and tomorrow – and what better way to prepare, or celebrate after the finish, than feasting on uncooked food?

Okay, it’s a little more appetising than that.

In fact, the raw food movement has Insta-lovers salivating with its post-worthy plates. And one of the best is Southport’s Blendlove.

This vegan, gluten-free, cane sugar-free, dairy-free haven has long boasted a huge selection of sweet goodies.

Rather than counting calories, Blendlove counts nutrition – whipping up desserts with highquality ingredients including nuts, nut milks, nut creams, raw cacao powder, fruits and coconut products.

But now the cafe also boasts a bunch of fearsome meat-free burgers. The favourite has to be the BBQ Ranch Burger – it has smoky ranch aioli and mustard chutney for the sauce, a kale and bean patty for the meat, avocado, tomato and rocket all on a quinoa based, gluten-free bun.

Totally raw-some. Meanwhile, if you can tear yourself away from the table, check out rawchallengeqld.com.au for all the dirt on the Raw race.
