Hauser puts best foot forward for Games bid
MATT Hauser is leaving no stone unturned to make the Australian triathlon team for the Commonwealth Games.
The Gold Coastbased teen snared the world junior championship and helped Australia win a world mixed relay title and put his best foot forward in his maiden season in the World Triathlon Series.
The 19-year-old made himself available for last week’s Commonwealth Games course announcement despite only arriving back in the country the night before.
After flying in from Europe, he slept on the floor at a mate’s place in Brisbane before sneaking in a training session in the morning and heading to the Coast to be at the course unveiling.
