AQUAMAN star Jason Momoa is officially a married man after secretly tying the knot with his long-time partner Lisa Bonet during the film’s Gold Coast shoot.

Hawaiian actor and adventurer Momoa, 38, and former The Cosby Show star Bonet, 49, met more than 12 years ago and were believed to have married in 2007.

The couple has two children together – Lola, 10, and Nakoa-Wolf, 8.

While Momoa often refers to Bonet as his wife, it turns out they only made it official on October 7 this year.

“My wife’s Lisa Bonet. I’m a very lucky man,” Momoa said in an interview in 2013.

Friends have revealed the couple wed in a secret ceremony in the US when the star took a short break from work on Aquaman at Village Roadshow Studios.

The ceremony took place at their home in Topanga, California, in front of family and friends last month after the couple secured a marriage licence on October 2.

The ceremony was witnessed by the couple’s children, Bonet’s daughter Zoe Kravitz and guests including rock climber Chris Sharma and actors Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander.

The celebrations included a Maori haka performance.

Former Game of Thrones star Momoa returned to the Gold Coast after the wedding for the final weeks of director James Wan’s six-month Aquaman shoot and attended the movie’s wrap party with co-star Amber Heard.

Bonet and the couple’s children spent time on the Coast with Momoa during the Aquaman shoot and threw him a surprise birthday party in August.

Momoa has previously admitted he had a crush on Bonet as a child when he saw her on The Cosby Show.

‘I didn’t tell her until after we had our two children. But I told her … “I kind of stalked you. I was going to find you,” he said.

Momoa appears as Aquaman in Justice League, which opens on November 16.
