BOXING DAY SHOPPING GUIDE

- EMILY SELLECK emily.selleck@news.com.au

ARRIVE early and wear flat shoes.

That’s what the experts recommend as thousands of Gold Coasters look to score the best Boxing Day deals on Tuesday.

For shopaholics, Christmas arrives on the 26th in the form of a “50 per cent off” sign and sales on designer items.

Pacific Fair general manager Steven Ihm said, as always, it was first in best dressed.

“We have a huge range of sales available across the centre with some stores up to 70 per cent off, and some sales only lasting on Boxing Day.

“Stores will be opening a little earlier for Boxing Day so I suggest being prepared to be in centre from 8am.”

At Pacific Fair, some of the biggest queues are expected outside Kookai and Culture Kings, which last year attracted hundreds of shoppers from as early as 6am.

If you’re looking for a good deal on jewellery, head to Australia Fair at Southport for 50 per cent off at both Prouds and Goldmark and 60 per cent at Wallace Bishop.

At Robina Town Centre, you will find hot deals on clothing, including 70 per cent off at Sheike, 50 per cent off at Universal Store, 25 per cent off at Seed Heritage, 50 per cent off at sass & bide and 70 per cent off at Wittner.

If you’re after a gift for your pet, head to Posh Pets at Marina Mirage for 50 per cent off.

While you’re there, head to Tommy Hilfiger for 40 per cent off, Calvin Klein for 40 per cent off or Janine Edwards for 50 per cent off.
