December 15, 1979: A 30year-old woman is abducted from her Tugun home at gunpoint, taken to the Gold Coast Hinterland in the boot of her own car and raped. The car is dumped at a local beach and the woman rescued after a passer-by heard her screams for help.

December 24, 1979: A Cabarita couple were ambushed and robbed while sitting in their parked vehicle. The woman was indecently assaulted after the masked assailant restrained her partner’s hands.

December 25, 1979: A masked man ambushed another Cabarita couple in their parked car. The woman was indecently assaulted after the attacker restrains her partner’s hands by winding up the car windows.

December 28, 1979: A Cabarita couple is surprised at their farmhouse. The woman, who was ordered to tape her partner’s hands, was raped in his presence.

January 25, 1980: A married Burleigh Heads couple are confronted in their home. The woman was forced to bind her husband’s hands. However, after pleading that she was pregnant the rapist leaves.

February 2, 1980: A Brisbane couple are abducted at gunpoint after a night out in Tweed Heads. Jeffrey Parkinson, 33, was shot several times and killed after fighting back. His female companion escapes unharmed after being told to “run” by Parkinson. October 31, 1980: A Gold Coast woman was raped in her Burleigh Heads unit after being threatened with a sawn-off rifle. Her attacker, in a balaclava flees on a motorbike.
