GOLD COAST QUADDIE

- TOM HACKETT LADBROKES

Race 5 – Maiden Hcp (1100m)

Reindeer Moon wasn’t disgraced on debut and should take benefit from that run. She should come across and take up the running from the wide barrier draw. Rosinca showed some promising signs last start and maps well. Able Fun is well-bred and trialled well.

Jessina won a trial at Doomben ahead of her debut. Selections: 13 Reindeer Moon, 9 Rosinca, 1 Able Fun, 6 Jessina

Race 6 – Maiden Hcp (1200m)

National Flag impressed in a barrier trial at the Gold Coast earlier this month and looks to have some talent. All Gifts is a Godolphin cast-off that won a barrier trial on the same day as National Flag. Alma Bubbles has joined Chris Anderson after previously being trained by Mick Price. Brad Be Bold is an unknown quantity. Selections: 4 National Flag, 6 All Gifts, 13 Alma Bubbles, 1 Brad Be Bold

Race 7 – BM 62 (1800m) Tiarnan ran strong closing sectionals to return to winning form last start and there is no reason he can’t go back-toback. Sidero Star had no luck in running last start and will appreciate the step-up in trip.

Skytastic was good behind Tiarnan last start and likes this distance. Subsolar is a better mare than her recent form suggests. Selections: 1 Tiarnan, 3 Sidero Star, 4 Skytastic, 2 Subsolar

Race 8 – Class 1 Hcp (1400m) Oneness comes out of a strong form race at the Gold Coast last start. He is a lightly raced horse that still has upside. Shinnecock was unlucky first-up at the Sunshine Coast last start.

Lauderdale is yet to really deliver on his potential but he does have talent on his day.

Real Classic has finished in the placings in four of his five starts at the Gold Coast.

Selections: 3 Oneness, 7 Shinnecock, 1 Lauderdale, 2 Real Classic
