To all of those NIMBY, whingeing, nay-sayers out there, there are hundreds of athletes who have spent countless hours preparing for the Commonwealth Games and thousands of spectators and supporters coming to our city! Every one of them is anticipating having a great time and returning home with fond memories of us. Amazing how money is found to tidy up the GC 3 months out from the Games which is only for 3 weeks but it can't be found over 1-2 yrs for more important issues directly affecting GC ratepayers.
