FESTIVAL 2018

-

There really will be something for everyone in Broadbeach — all day and every night — during Festival 2018.

The beachside precinct, one of two major Festival 2018 hubs, will host free world and Australian premieres and commissioned works covering everything from dance to circus, theatre, live music, installations and public art displays, discussions and workshops.

Presented by The Star Gold Coast, the events will see Surf Parade closed to traffic as it’s book ended by two massive stages — a dedicated Queensland Music Stage featuring shows by everyone from Amy Shark to Troy Cassar-Daley, and a Roundabout Stage for adrenaline-fuelled circus and dance works.

From a grand inflatable maze to family shows and works created by Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and First Nations’ artists and communities, Kurrawa Park will become a beachfront playground for young and old as it’s transformed into the heart of art during Festival 2018.

Bleach* Festival will also present stellar events on the beach at Chelsea Ave including Water Cooler Games and The Night Watch and Broadbeach Mall will burst to life with roving entertainers.

While Festival 2018 events are free, Dami Im and her full band will perform a highly anticipated ticketed show in The Star Theatre on April 5.
