Riviera to make splash in Japan
GOLD Coast luxury boat builder Riviera is set to premiere its 43 Open Flybridge motor yacht at a major Japanese boat show.
The company, in conjunction with newly appointe dealer Unimat Precious, will showcase the yacht at the Japan International Boat Show at Yokohama over four days from March 8.
Riviera International sales director Chris McCafferty said the yacht has an extensive range of features, that the company believes will find favour with the Japanese market. “The main saloon is both elegant and practical, with an ergonomic aft galley that is fully-equipped with appliances and places the chef at the heart of social activities on board. The starboard U-shaped leather lounge surrounds a dining table that folds and lowers to become a coffee table or extra bed.”
He said on the accommodation deck, the master stateroom forward features a queen-size island bed and ensuite. The guest stateroom features three adult-size beds, two of which can slide together to create a double. The yacht is powered via twin Volvo Penta IPS2-600 pod drives with D6 turbo diesel engines that generate up to 435hp each.
The system includes joystick steering for low-speed manoeuvring and digital switching technology for ease of operation.
Unimat Precious representative Mitsuru Ishii said the yacht’s design is ideally suited to the local market.
“This model epitomises the boating dreams of Japan’s discerning motor yacht aficionados,” he said.
